All of you on our Searchlight and personal mailing list really came through this summer to help raise money when our son Chris was working at Camp Iawah. Now we have an opportunity to work together again to help out those in need in our community. A blogger friend of ours in BC introduced us to this program a few weeks ago. The iKettle program pledges that all money raised will be used in our local community, meaning Salvation Army Family Services in Port Hope and Cobourg and throughout Northumberland County. We've set a modest fundraising goal for this that I'm hoping we can exceed. This is the electronic equivalent to dropping money in the collection kettles you're more familiar with. It means we can give more than just the change in our pockets. I hope you'll give generously.
